Charlie Sepp '24 Recruiting Profile

Basketball became my first love when I was only a kid. When I was younger, it was the challenge of basketball where I had the most fun - not only was it fun, but it came easily to me. As I got older, life got harder and basketball became my safe place. When I play basketball, I don't have to think about anything else. I just let go and play. It became my therapy and once it did, my bond with basketball became even stronger and by middle school, I knew I wanted to play at the highest level.

I'm a very versatile player who sees the whole floor, a big guard that can facilitate, pass and score. Offensively, I've always had a strong inside game but my shot has evolved to really make me dangerous.  I'm a tall, aggressive defender who prioritizes making stops and I’ll never give anyone an easy bucket.

On a more personal note, I’ve enjoyed traveling for tournaments, connecting with old teammates and staying in touch with past coaches, who I’m lucky to call my friends.  My coaches have always complimented me on my competitive edge, energy and the focus I bring to the team.  They appreciate that I’m self-motivated and committed to everyone’s success.  I understand if my team does well, we all rise together.

My goal is to play at the highest academic and athletic college level possible.  I realize it's not easy with the transfer portal, but I trust my work ethic and dedication to get me there.
