Josiah Harris '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josiah Harris, and I am a high school senior with a 3.8 GPA at Perspectives Math & Science Academy, an above average, public charter school located in Chicago, IL.  I’m also the starting Point Guard for my school’s men’s varsity basketball team.  In addition, I have played on multiple AAU teams and local Park District teams.  Recently, I have been selected by coaches as a Chicago Public League Basketball Coaches Association (CPLBCA) “All Conference” player.  

Upon my graduation from high school this spring, I plan to attend college and study Kinesiology while playing basketball at a major college or university.  I’m looking forward to studying Kinesiology in college because I can see myself using my degree in the future to help young athletes build strength in their minds as well as in their bodies and spirit.

I envision myself having a very rewarding college experience as a genuine student athlete who believes in not only exceling on the basketball court as a leader for my respective college team, but also by exceling in the classroom as a teachable productive student with strong work ethic and a compelling desire to win and to succeed.
