Mario Parker '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mario Parker Jr . I have been playing Basketball since I was 3 years old . Its been my favorite sport and hobby since I was a little and it’s the thing I love most in the world besides my family . I started playing in the Chicago Park District Leagues and school team at age 6 . I started AAU and travel at age 9 . The first 3 years were rough,wasn't one of the naturally talented kids at all . My dad let me know if I wanted to get better all I had to do was be patient and work hard.. and the rest would come . It's been an up and down journey but an amazing journey . I’ve played on some Great teams and some not so good ones . By putting in the work I've gained much respect from my teammates , coaches, and opponents . In the last 9 years I've played all 5 positions . Now I’m usually a wing player or point guard  which are my preferred positions but I will play any position if I have too . I can shoot from deep , I can get to the rim , good free throw shooter and solid defender and great passer . Im calm I listen and I'm a team guy . I have a good attitude and follow directions well . I would love to get a education and play college basketball at the school that God chooses for me . I will work hard on and off the everyday until my opportunity comes . God bless
