My name is Lukas Shadwick and I'm a sophomore at Villa Grove High School in Illinois. I have set many goals for myself, one of those; becoming a college basketball player. I am also looking into becoming a physical therapist, as I want to go into the studies of kinesiology, biology, and anatomy. I currently have a 4.8 GPA. I'm a very teachable, coachable, student/athlete, and I work hard to succeed at any task I've set or been assigned to do. My passion to work and get better at basketball is indescribable. I got a taste of Varsity basketball as a freshman and loved every second, and worked super hard over the spring, and summer between my freshman and sophomore season to get more minutes the next season. I succeeded, averaged more minutes, and my overall performance increased dramatically. I continue to work hard; lifting weights 5-6 times a week, and playing basketball at least 2 hours every day pushing myself in the gym. I love to push others and be pushed during practice time. I work with those around me at my school, and those on my travel team I have played on since 7th grade out of Rantoul Illinois year round to dominate on the court. Plus I also play football at my school, and push myself in the weight room and on the field to be known as "the hardest worker". When I walk off the court, out of the weight room, or off the field I want to be recognized for how dedicated I am. I'm always looking for opportunities and reaching out to others for advice. I look forward making big contributions to our program over the next few years which will help me one day contribute to a team at the college level.
