Alexander Ratcliff '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been running the courts since I was 5 years old! I started through the YMCA League and then played all through school. I am not ready to stop now! I intend to play at the next level, and my efforts reflect that desire! When I step on to the court, I am all business! My mental toughness is what guides me. I have good ballhandling and shooting skills. But it's my defensive skills that sets me apart from other players! My full court pressure is a value I can bring to any team. There is no off season for me. I work on the game year-round, and all I want to do is get better not just for me, but for my team! Basketball is a team sport, and I will always strive to put the best interest of any team I am on in the forefront. There is nothing better than being a part of a team with one shared goal! Above anything else, I am coachable! I want to learn! I want to get better!

My family recently moved to a small town, and I had to change schools my Senior year. Ultimately, it has been fantastic for my growth! I experienced failing because of my own faults, but I am on the right path! I am fully committed to bettering my study skills to be more successful in the classroom. The growth that I have made is reflected in the grades that I have now, and although I had previous failures, I am proud of the changes I have made and the path I am on! I know that academics is far more important that athletics, and that they go hand in hand. I will not give up on the changes I have made in my studies and will continue to set high standards! My transcript does not look great due to my prior mistakes; however, I am on the road to recovery and am committed to working my hardest to improve!

I am open to a lot of different opportunities! My goal is to be the best role model I can to my little sister, while also making my parents proud!
