Evan Michalek '24 Recruiting Profile

I am Evan Michalek, a 6'1 guard for Webster County High School in Dixon, KY. If there is anything to know about me, it is that I seek after my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of my heart and I live for Him, not the world. My mission for college is to get the best possible education for my future which is in ministry. God has called me into ministry, and while I do not know exactly the role, I hope to take some sort of Christian Ministry or Bible Theology classes. 

I would be a great fit for any Christian college basketball program that has an eternity mindset and is fully focused on the Lord. My goal is to spread the love, grace, and truth of Jesus through playing basketball, and I aspire to be with teammates and coaches with the same mindset. On the court, I constantly provide energy, encourage teammates, and work as hard as I can. As far as my game, I am a crafty lefty who can score on all 3 levels, but am known for my 3pt shooting. I love to dial in on the details, such as off ball movement and defensive rotations. The best attribute of my game that will help any team is my unselfishness. I am willing to get everyone involved and play however the coach says for the team to be at full potential.

As far as academics, I love to take care of business in the classroom. My GPA is 4.0 unweighted and 5.33 weighted. My class rank is 1 of 144 unweighted and 3 of 144 weighted. For test scores, I recently achieved a superscore of 31 on the ACT.
