Looking back on my first year in high school, I realize that playing for an inexperienced freshman coach enhanced my leadership abilities on and off the court. Those qualities have carried me throughout my high school career and set a firm foundation for my future. My consistent demeanor allows me to stay calm, cool, and collected on the court regardless of how we are playing.
Since my freshman year, my basketball skills substantially improved because I worked on my craft with a trainer, exercised daily, and changed my diet. When I stopped indulging in red meat, I understood how to sacrifice for the betterment of myself and the influence on my family. I comprehend that a team is also my family and that I make excellent choices because I know this affects them, too. My future goals include playing at the collegiate level and obtaining a degree in business administration.
