My name is Ephraim N. Ezidiegwu, I am a 6'6" 230lb forward from Las Vegas, NV. I have been participating in the sport of basketball for 5 years. I am looking for a four-year college institution where I can attain the right balance between the classroom and the basketball court. I would prefer a university that possesses a well-invested pre-med program. A university with a formidable academic reputation in the medical field would be ideal as it has been a field of study that has stood out to me ever since I was young. When in college, I plan to attain a bachelor's in Biochemistry as it will provide me with the degree needed to enter medical school. In college, I aspire to provide a means of sustenance to a team's ability to win on the collegiate level. Given my experiences of playing basketball on the high school level, I believe I am well equipped to provide such. In the beginning years of my basketball career, I was never a true scorer or first option when it came to scoring. This resulted in the development of other skills such as rebounding, shot-blocking, and scoring off the ball which I believe translates well to the college level. Although I am still developing my shooting and dribbling, I have become an efficient scorer and passer during my Senior year playing for Bonanza as I became a first option. Something that distinguishes me from other athletes is my ability to guard all positions. Due to my strength, I am able to guard bigger players. Given my speed and shot-blocking ability at my size, I am able to guard athletes at smaller positions. Another distinguishing factor that I possess is my athleticism. I am able to utilize this athleticism to make tough finishes around the rim and block shots. In regard to my character, I am a Christian so I try my best to mimic my morals after Christ. If I were to become an addition to a team today, I am sure I would be able to boost morale immediately as I get along well with others. I believe I am quite diligent when it comes to my work and I thirst for knowledge. I can be depended on and I am quite determined when I set my mind on any given thing. In regards to my academics, I am taking college courses while still in high school allowing me to advance my academic career quicker in comparison to most recruits my age.
