Winning the NJ State Champion and 3rd in Regional Basketball Elk's Hoop Shoot Competition are the highlights of the start of my 2023. As an active student-athlete, my major goal is to study Architecture in college and be accepted in a college basketball varsity. Getting accepted to a D1 school and being named an All-American are biggest dreams everyone has but I am open to any division. I aim to strive harder every time to use my special qualities as a 3-point and free throw shooter, these skills my coaches said are notable since I started basketball JV in 4th grade. As a point guard, I can lead my team to a victory against any given odds. My basketball varsity/team won the district championship last year and 2nd this year; in every game I learn that no matter what the outcome is, the journey would push me to keep moving forward.
Major attributes that I possess to becoming a great candidate for any given team is my calm attitude; having the ability to stay focus in any given situation. When I'm in such a calm state of mind, I use my high IQ to give out assist, score, and do whatever it is I could do best in the court. The difference I have in character is my leadership at any given time, I have served as an officer of our school student council since 6th grade, a consistent school basketball varsity and a point guard of my AAU team. When the energy in the court is low, it is a natural instinct in me to guide my teammates into coming back in the zone. As a player who has great leadership, it is notable that any "bad" shot I take, or turnover I make, I keep my head up and I keep moving forward. Academically, my current GPA is a 4.0, straight A student, and school is my great priority. Aside from being a student-athlete, I am also a natural musician as the school band pianist, guitarist and alto sax player for 5 years now . Academics, sports and music give me joy and balance in life, these make me different from others. I play other sports such as Golf, Football, and Volleyball; they all contribute to my ability into becoming a great basketball player. Basketball is a great love I have, and it pushes my discipline as a person. I have certifiable consistency, and do my best to stick to my routine on improving as a person and a student-athlete.
