Austin Mejia '24 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to be a student-athlete at a high academic institution, pursuing my passions for learning and playing college basketball. I value the camaraderie of team sports while competing at the highest level.  Basketball has always pushed me to work hard and be a leader not only in the gym, but also in the classroom.  On the court, I bring versatility, practice diligently, and am very coachable. I feel that basketball is best played when the team emphasizes defense, shares the ball, and pushes in transition. Academically, I strive for excellence and am fortunate to have earned a full 4-year merit scholarship to the top ranked Catholic high school in the U.S.  I hope to continue to broaden my knowledge and experiences in college, ultimately preparing me for a career in health care.
