Basketball has had a big impact on my life, it helps me get through tough times and it also helps me stay out of trouble. I have been playing basketball ever since I was 3 years old. Being a student-athlete has taught me how to be disciplined, it shows me that hard work outweighs talent, being an athlete has a big role in my life. Being a student-athlete showed me that the student in student-athlete always comes first, because without the student you wouldn't be able to take in hard coaching and I can take hard coaching because I am disciplined well, I come from a family of respect and that if you don't have any respect you can't play. My main focus this year as a freshmen is to play varsity at least by the end of the year or play it mid way throughout the year. Being tall and being athletic helps me out on offense and defense, because I'm a dog on defense and I have good stamina on offense. On offense I am a leader and I don't give up until the game is over, I work hard in practice and I am coachable. During the games I apply the new skills that I worked on in practice. On offense I am a threat because I have an excellent jumpshot, and I can finish with aggression around the rim. In class I'm doing my work and not playing around because school is my main priority although I have basketball; In school I am always on top of my assignments.
