Personal Statement
My name is Jalin Burris, I am a Senior at Research Triangle High School. I feel that I have been a very successful student as well as a versatile athlete. I have learned to be a leader in the classroom and on the court. I am not afraid to take on challenges and push to improve in everything I do. Every year I have played high school basketball I have improved myself, and I don't plan on slowing down. I have been told by my coaches that I am a game changer whenever I am on the basketball court. I also strive to be a good leader as well as follower, a helper, a motivator and a positive person to my teammates. I feel it is important for me to always show respect on and off the court because I understand that my actions reflect on my team, parents, coaches and my school. I would like to study business management/finance in college. I want a college experience where I can grow as a student, basketball player and overall person. I plan to help my team in any way possible to be successful while still being a successful student. I am the type of person that wants everyone to be successful.
