My name is Jaylen Richardson I am a 6’0, 16 year old point guard. Basketball is my passion. I love competing and playing the game of basketball. I dream of playing at the collegiate level and higher some day. More importantly, I understand that basketball is resource to a free education. Becoming a college graduate is one of the highest priorities in my life. I personally don't know what could be better than getting a free education while playing the game I love at the collegiate level.
I currently have a 3.6 GPA. I'm taking honors 10th grade math and science classes. I believe work ethic is the main ingredient in the recipe to success and accomplishing my goals. What makes me special as a basketball player and as an athlete is I refused to be out worked by anyone. No one will out work me. There may be more athletic or talented players but there is no player in the class of 2025 that works harder than me.
I'm currently the starting point guard for Team Scoot TJ 2025 (Puma Hoops) . I average 12pts 5rebs 5 assist a game. I specialize in long range shooting. I consistently make jump shots as far as 24 feet from the basket. I love attacking the basket creating easy scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates. My current goal is to improve my leadership skills and become more vocal as a point guard. As a rising junior, expectations of me will be high from my high school team and coach. I am a proven scorer, solid defender and can create for others. I feel I'm ready for the responsibilities to be a lead player on a talented high school team. By focusing on the little things, the intangibles of basketball, and setting the standard for my team, I'm sure I will help my team have a a successful 23-24 season. Meanwhile, until high school basketball returns, I will be competing on a national stage with Team Scoot TJ 2025. The goal is to compete against the best talent in the nation on a consistent basis. With my training, strengthening and conditioning, and skill work, I know I will play at a high level against some of the best 2024 and 2025 kids in the nation.
I hope that you will take interest in my journey and follow me moving forward. I'm confident saying I know I will be an asset to any collegiate basketball program by the time I'm a senior in high school. Please share as much information as you can about yourself and your program. Please filter all information through my travel coach basketball coach, Jermaine Richardson, who is also known as Coach TJ. You can email Coach TJ at [email protected] or contact him at 470-595-7192.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Jaylen Richardson - Point Guard
