Gerren Jones '22 Recruiting Profile

I look forward to going to college because I want to pursue what I think is right and be able to have a good career later on. I feel that it is important for me to get myself prepared for life and I think college is the way to go and a way to help secure what I want. Not only would I like to go to college for that reason though, I would also like to go to college and be able to play the sport that I love most, which is basketball. I have had a strong passion for basketball for a long time, I started playing basketball when I was 7. I played recreation basketball up until 7th grade when I was able to play basketball in middle school. I played for Swansboro Middle School for 7th and 8th grade, then went on to play basketball at Swansboro High School, I played on the Junior Varsity team for my freshman year and played on the Varsity team for my sophomore and junior year of high school. I have always had a dream to be able to play basketball in college at the higher level and do what I love, basketball is a true escape to me and helps me with whatever I am going through. As a player on the court, I feel that I am a respectful and coachable player, as well as being able to keep my grades high to be able to play.  Every time that I go out on the court, I try my best to give 100% of my effort to contribute everything that I have to give, hustle plays, defense, and offense. I think that with the grades that I have, it makes me stand out more than most other recruits, I currently have a 4.175 GPA and I'm still looking to improve that.
