Personal Statement

My name is Meshach Flowers, and I am a basketball player. I have been a basketball player all my life as my father was an executive on the Belize national Team while growing up and he also is the General Manager of the top Semi-Professional basketball program in the country. I have been around basketball players of all levels since I can remember and always had a ball in my hands.

I have been schooled in the basics from multiple perspectives and bred to be a shooter and point guard since I was 8 years old. Today, I am an outstanding shooter and three-level score, with my focus now turning on becoming a lock-down wing defender.

At 6’4 at my current age of 16 years, I expect to grow at least two to three more inches and be an outstanding big guard in the vein of LeMelo Ball. My greatest asset is my work ethic, both in the court and in the classroom. I used to go out in my back yard in the evening and shoot for hours until my parents had to build a lighting system to accommodate the house, I am prepared to work during the lockdown pandemic. Academically, I currently have a 3.7 GPA in almost all grade levels since the 5th grade. I work hard on my grades because I want my college options to be limitless and to include Ivy League schools and those that are normally academically hard to gain admission.

My basketball journey started in the Caribbean nation of Belize where I spent the last three years in lockdown and was forced to work one on one on my individual dribbling and shooting skills. Now that I am in a program at Davis High School in Houston that is open, so I am now able to put all those drills work together and work on the IQ necessary to be an Elite Guard.

I look forward to working with a coach that can match my intensity, work ethic, and high academic and athletic ambitions.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
