My name is Vanessa Towne. I am currently a senior at Legacy the school of sport Sciences. I'm 5 9 and I play softball. I am a first baseman for my varsity team, and this will be my fourth year on varsity. I am always the excited motivated teammate, and I'm always pushing my teammate and I beyond our limits. Even though I've only been playing this game for 5 years now I have gotten to love the game and improved every year. I am always up to try new plays and run new things with my pitcher or my team. I have much dedication and persistence to the things that I commit to. I love to stay late and work on things that need more work. I throw shot put and discus in addition to softball. I am committed to doing well academically and was given and academic achievement award my freshman year. I also love to volunteer at church, or anywhere in fact. Every Sunday I volunteer as a small group leader for a middle school. I also run production every Sunday and Wednesday for our worship team at our high school and middle school services. Another thing I love to do outside of softball is athletic training. When I graduate high school I want to play softball in college and study sports medicine or to be a paramedic. I have been offered the opportunity Christmas break and summer to shadow an orthopedic surgeon. I am excited to look forward at college and be able to pursue a career that I love.
