Murtaza Hashim '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Murtaza Hashim, and I am a point guard in the class of 2024 recruiting class. I am a good candidate for your team because I am a fundamental player who is a pass-first, score-second, type of guy. Rather than taking a tough shot with 2 or 3 defenders on me, I have the ability to see the floor and find my open teammates. When I shoot, I can shoot off the pick and am at my best in catch-and-shoot situations from the 3 point line. I can knock down any shot in any situation and can go up against players stronger and taller than me. I am different than the other recruits in character, athleticism, and academics because of the way I can motivate my teammates to try their best and make them find better ways to help the team. I am also a multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball, football, and soccer. As a student, I have always been a straight-A student and always persevere through tough times, by studying and reviewing my mistakes, taking notes, and doing it better a second time.
