I am a humble, student athlete with high-character. My family has influenced me all of my life and taught me right from wrong. For that, I thank them. I’ve never been in trouble inside or outside of school. Basketball has taught me to be humble because success often gets to people’s heads, especially in sports.
I started showing interest in basketball at the age of two. My father put a ball in my hands when I was young and I have been passionate about the game ever since. I distinctly remember going to the gym to workout with my dad and my uncle, Larry Spicer, at Rhodes College every summer I visited my father. I have been enduring vigorous workouts since I was eight and my dad used to tell me, “You’ll thank me one day”. From basketball, I have learned that I work well with all types of people and that I can fill vacant areas and pick up my teammates slack.
Although moving has been a monumental obstacle in my life, I have weathered the storm and I prosper wherever I go. It has taught me to be thankful for all situations and how to make adjustments. I have adapted well in the classroom as well as on the court. I have endured several coaching changes and have had to find my place on several rosters. It will benefit me in the long run because I have experience with several types of systems.
I have goals to graduate from Landstown High School with an advanced diploma. After high school, I have set goals to attend college and graduate in four years with a degree in Business Management, Sales and Marketing, or Arts Entertainment and Media Management.
