Spencer Martin '19 Recruiting Profile

    I have been playing basketball since a very young age. I have wanted to play college basketball from my very first game. I played shooting guard 2-5th grade, point guard in 6-8th grade, small forward 9th grade, and power forward 10th-11th grade. I have experience in all positions which gives me a big advantage, I have good ball handling, can shoot well, have developed a very good post game, and have a high basketball IQ. I have played up my whole career in basketball; for most my career I have played 2 years up. I am a leader on every team I play for, I am very encouraging of my teammates and make them push themselves. I am very coachable and dedicated. I fight to be the hardest working player for every team I am on.

    Off the court I am also a leader. I study and keep a high GPA. I volunteer ref for our Oroville AAU teams, as well as go to some of their practices and help coach. I also have helped one on one to younger athletes. I like to help the younger athletes as much as possible because I would have loved that when I was their age.

    I want to attend a college at the highest level possible that pushes me both physically and academically. I am very open to all options and just want to find the right match for me on and off the court. I want to become a great role model and make my family proud.
