I don't think I had reached an age to develop memories yet, when I fell in love with the game of basketball. I have always been 100% committed to obtaining the loftiest goals I could dream playing the game. Every coach I have ever been affiliated with has always labeled my the "gym rat" and I am very proud of that label. I firmly believe that "fit" with the coaching staff and program are of the utmost importance. I believe if I can connect with a coach and program that value and respect my dedication, commitment, and determination to work harder than any opponent I will have a successful college basketball experience. I am extremely competitive at everything I do, which I think I inherited from my fathers side of the family. I truly hate to lose or not succeed at the goals I feel I can achieve.
If I were making an opposing scouting report on myself it would read as follows. Do not give him any room to shoot, he has the confidence to catch it and shoot it from anywhere without hesitation. Force him to put the ball on the floor, but do not allow him to pull up. When a shot goes up, on either end, we have to get a body on Eli. He is a very smart and determined rebounder at both ends of the floor. We can win against him, on the defensive end, if we force him to move his feet, but we have to keep our heads up dribbling and being aggressive attacking the basket. Eli has a tremendous ability to put himself in optimal positions to draw charges.
