Personal Statement

As a student and an athlete I constantly find myself setting up new goals and overcoming daily challenges. I am well aware that some of these are harder than others, but I am determined to accomplish every single one of them. My lifetime dream is to become a professional golf player and therefore one of my biggest goals is to attend a university with a Division I golf team. It is of great importance to me to be surrounded by a team of motivated athletes and coaches that will help me learn and grow as a golf player. I have been playing golf for the past 9 years and the sport has become my passion ever since. In this short time period I have attended multiple national and international tournaments where I have flourished alongside my teammates. With a handicap of 2 I am striving to improve my skills everyday and I could only dream of continuing to do so in a suited environment. I consider myself as a good leader, always striving to motivate others around me whether it is on the green or in life. As a student I find education to be one of the most important privileges given to succeed in life. Education has granted me honesty, discipline, commitment and determination, qualities that have made me not only a good student, but also a respectable athlete.
