Personal Statement

My athletic goal is to play collegiate golf and help a team win a Division Golf Championship. I enjoy playing team golf and my ability to control my emotions and play under pressure has allowed me to excel in this arena.

My scholastic goal is to earn a well-rounded education and graduate with a degree in Business Administration.

My leadership and peer management skills have been honed by my training in the Boy Scouts of America.  As a Senior Patrol Leader, I led 55 scouts for 1 year.  I also was chosen by my troop to participate in a program called National Youth Leadership Training, which I completed in the summer of 2014.

Training

  • TPI / Titelist Performance Institute / Swing Coach
  • 6 years
  • My TPI training has been directed by Kris Brown, the Director of golf at Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Kris Brown is a level 9 TPI instructor. I perform my TPI training 3-4 times a week. My other training consists of 1-2 hours a day putting and short game, 1 hour full swing and I play 54 holes a week minimum.
  • Strength / Speed / Flexibility / Balance / Diet
  • 2 years
  • My trainer is Scott Rogowski. My strength and fitness level is increasing every day. My club head speed has increased 10 MPH in the first three months of my training. Please see Scott's credentials below: Sports Performance Golf Specialist, NSCA & CSCS plus TPI Fitness Coach "I attended California State University- Long Beach for a Masters in Kinesiology. Over the past 8 years in physical therapy and fitness, I have worked with athletes from middle school through Division I college athletes and at the professional level. I focus on pre-hab (pre rehabilitation), post-hab (post rehabilitation), mobility, and sport specific functional training. The professional athletes I’ve trained played on the PGA, LPGA, NFL, MLB, NBA, 2012 US Olympic Team, and Korean National Basketball Team." “Movement is the best medicine”
  • Golf Swing and Course Management
  • 7 years
  • My swing coach is Kris Brown / Director of the Trump National Golf Academy. I have been working with Kris now consistently for 7 years. Kris practices the TPI school of golf. I enjoy working with him and I believe that by working together I can get to a very high level in my golf game. Please see Kris Brown's information and philosophy: "How a teacher approaches their craft directly affects the success of their students. A great teacher never stops learning and continually creates new goals. The evolution of golf instruction demands a coach with exceptional communication skills, vision, creativity and passion. Being well rounded in a multitude of subjects such as golf instruction, nutrition, fitness, medical, technological advancements, motor skill development and neuroscience allow the elite instructor to see progression from all angles. The objective is to create a simple, efficient and consistent motion which is done by perfecting the process. The coach’s purpose is to meet and exceed the student’s expectations and goals. The teacher must pride himself on teaching the game of golf vs. teaching a golf swing. I’m determined to inspire my students to achieve what they believe is impossible." Sequential Order of Progression Identify the problem Implement the solution Trust the adjustment Refine the movement pattern Repeat!
  • Putting
  • 4 years
  • My putting instructor is Jim Gormley / Director of golf and head pro at Palos Verdes Golf Club. Mr. Gormley has taught me to use the "arc method" putting style. Once I learned this method I started to be a more consistent putter. Mr. Gormley is a well known putting guru...many LPGA and PGA touring pros, as well as the USC Women's Golf Team, and other notable national title holders come to Mr. Gormley for advice on their putting and full swing.
