My name is Edd Hackett and I am a junior at Archbishop Mitty High School. I currently play for the varsity team and I have for all of my high school career. I have contributed to the team in tournaments with scores mostly in the mid and low 70's.
In the past few years I have improved my game tremendously both mentally and physically. I am starting to become a more solid player and I can only see myself improving much more in the future.
I love to practice hard and I have a true passion for golf. Golf is a large part of my life and playing in college is the next step for me. I aspire to be a PGA professional one day and I am willing to put in every bit of work necessary and more.
Though I give golf a high priority, I understand that I will not be able to be recruited if my grades really suffer. I have a 3.2 cumulative gpa and I also expect to improve as I mature and learn better study habits and better time management. School also has a high priority in my eyes because if I do not go pro I aspire to go to grad school and study business.
My goal is to play college golf at a mid-level division one school and eventually go pro from there. It sounds a but far fetched but I am willing to put in all the work necessary and more because I love the game of golf so much and practicing hard is an enjoyable experience for me.
