I am Ty Whisler, a student-athlete that lives in the mountains of Tahoe. At the age of 10, I was diagnosed with brain cancer and became part of a St.Jude clinical trial. Not having sports in my life for 2 years was tough. Origianlly, I loved baseball, but due to my vision impairment, I had to shift sports. Golf became my meditation and opportunity to show who I am as an athlete. I love golf because I know that I can push myself to obtain my goals. I know hard work and I enjoy the opportunity each day I get to hit a ball.
