Hello, I am Jarrett Hill and I am a sophomore at Solano Community College/Napa Valley College and playing collegiate golf at Napa Valley College in Napa, California. In 2016, I graduated from Vacaville High School in Vacaville, California. I am looking for an opportunity to play collegiate golf. I am a golfer that shoots under/par consistently in tournaments (GHIN 1262459). I have been interested in the game of golf since I was two years old. My grandfather saw something at a very young age and continued to nurture my talents. "He said to me, people practice for a lifetime to get a swing like that!"
As a competitive golfer my focus is to WIN! Being great at golf is what drives me to wake up at 6:00 in the morning to go and continually work on my game or go to the gym to work on my physical health. During my career in high school I was treated like the underdog, however because of my dedication to perfection and success time after time I showed my team and competitors that I am force to be reckoned with. My work ethic is second to none, I work on my game on a daily basis whether it being at the course or the gym. All because I want to WIN!
I have been playing golf in competition for the last 6 years. During this time period I have collected a total of 10 wins and many top 10 finishes not including the many high school wins. While in high school I played Varsity golf all four years where our team achieved MEL All-Conference all four years. I was all conference since my sophomore year. My senior year I achieved all conference player of the year, my junior year gained co-player of the year, and second in conference my sophomore year. The greatest year was my senior year. During the last year of high school I shot under par in both of the league tournaments for a total of -3. During Sections I shot a 76 at El Macero Country Club in Davis, California to advance to Masters where I shot a 71 at Spanos Reserves in Stockton, California to make it to the CIF Northern California Tournament for high school at Corral De Tierra in Corral De Tierra, California. This is a highly coveted opportunity as an individual. I am the second person in the history from my high school to qualify for this event. I also am the only person to make it to this tournament from the Sac Joaquin Section this year.
As a Freshman playing for Napa Valley College, I earned All-Big 8 Conference honors and tied for the second-best scoring average in the conference. I continued my solid all-around play by qualifying for the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships by finishing sixth overall as an individual at the CCCAA Northern California Regional Championships. I was one of just four individuals to advance from NorCal to state.
In addition, to school events I also play in tournaments outside of school for NCGA, Golf week, AJGA, JGANC, Paradise Men's Club, Frys.com and local events. This upcoming year I plan on adding additional events to advance in the rankings. I have also attended and graduated from the Pebble Beach - Nike Golf Camp. I routinely meet with my swing coach Chris Hatzke, PGA Assistant Professional. If you have any questions for Mr. Hatzke, he can be reached at 707.372.4161.
Academically, successfully graduated from high school in June 2016 and currently attending Solano Community College/Napa Valley College.
I will bring leadership, persistence, etiquette, and a competitive attitude to my team and look forward to the opportunity to win you and your school a championship.
Sincerely,
Jarrett Hill
