October 2023Personal Statement
I took a non-traditional path to golf. I started playing REC sports like baseball, soccer, basketball, and football in kindergarten and played up until the 8th grade. It wasn’t until my freshman year during the pandemic that I picked up a golf club and found my passion.
Through hard work and dedication, I have maintained a pretty strong GPA and become a dual-sport varsity athlete. Since freshman year, the hard work has really paid off. I was able to drop my 9-hole score from about 50, in my freshman year, to 40 in my junior year. By the end of my junior year, I earned a spot on varsity and took part in the CCC and State Tournament where we placed 2nd.
I am looking to attend a college where I can combine my love for golf and pursue a degree. I want to be a member of a team and community that will assist me in achieving my full potential.
