75.67 Scoring Average, #370 - Polo Golf Rankings
I have been golfing for as long as I can remember while playing competitively since I was six years old. Golf is such an interesting game. One day you can be making every up and down and every 15 footer, but the next day you can't seem to make a par. That's part of the reason I got so attached as a six year old, I never knew what I was going to get. This dynamic is unique to golf and golf alone. Everyday golf poses a new challenge, one day you might be able to go at every pin thanks to soft greens and the next you might have to just keep it under the wind and find a spot on the green. If there is one thing that I have learned after fourteen years is that everyday is a new game, new course, and a new challenge. You truly never know what you're going to get.
As a man of faith, I know how important it is to have my morals and values in order. Golf is amazing and important but it will never truly define who I am as a person and what I am capable of accomplishing as a human being. I am an extremely competitive person and I want to win every time and I want to be the best. At times, it's tough for me to understand. However I know that golf is just a game, I have been able to play with peace and a calm demeanor which has resulted in lower scores. In one of my first years of competitive golf as a seven year old, in a small local tournament, my brother barely beat me and on the last green, when we were supposed to shake hands, I threw grass in his face instead. The drive and the passion for the game is surely there, but like I said, golf is just a game.
Ultimately I'm looking for a place where I can make the team better and the team can push me to be the best player I can be. I'm looking for a team of brothers and a team with similar morals and values. I am looking for a team filled with players who want to be the best. I'm looking for a coach who pushes me to be the best player I can be and a coach to guide me in my journey with this amazing game.
