Tyler Santi '25 Recruiting Profile

My overall goal is to play golf at the college level.  I am very coachable and apply feedback quickly.  This is demonstrated by an 8 stroke improvement over the past year in my golf scores. I currently have a 3.45 GPA. I am on both the Varsity basketball and golf teams. In my junior year of golf, I had 4 top ten finishes and an additional 5 top 20 finishes. Some highlights of my junior season were:

• A -1 round at Jester Park Golf Course (Grimes, IA) finishing 3^rd place
• A +3 round at Brown Deer Golf Course (Coralville, IA) in District qualifying match for state tournament. Three placings from qualifying for state individually.
• Two-time runner up at American Legion Elks Golf Tournament (invite only tournament)
• Decreased scoring average by 4 strokes from Sophomore to Junior year.
• Part of Indianola high school golf team that took 4^th at 2022 Iowa 4A State golf tournament.
•  I have received 2 varsity letters while playing at Indianola and in my sophomore year I was voted most improved player by my coaches and teammates.

One of my strengths is keeping my composure while being out on the golf course.  I try to have a short-term memory and come back strong if I have a bad shot. I also strive to be a leader by encouraging my teammates if they are struggling and cheering them on when they are having a good round. I also do my best at holding myself accountable to work hard and represent themselves and our school at a high level. In these few upcoming months, I am really focusing on improving more by doing winter lessons with a swing coach. Also, in this upcoming spring and summer I have signed up for two 2-day golf tournaments and plan on signing up for more to keep improving.
