For the majority of my life, I have played three or more sports. However, after this summer, I have decided to focus on playing golf. This past golf season, I have worked a lot on my mental game, chipping and putting, in addition to increasing swing speed (max swing speed is 117 on trackman). This has helped me drop my tournament scoring average. This winter, I am working on additional mental game training, my overall conditioning, and taking weekly lessons with my swing coach. I believe that I will be a great asset to a college team because I have a strong work ethic, which includes high academic achievement. Also, I enjoy healthy competition with teammates both in practice and tournaments, and growing together as players and teammates. When I am not playing golf, I still am involved with the game as a caddy at a local course and volunteering at golf clinics that my school provides to students in Detroit. My school's motto is being "men for others." I like to give back to the community by working in a soup kitchen, playing viola for church activities, and packaging food for the homeless in Detroit.
