I was introduced to the game of golf at the early age of four years old by my dad when he gave me my first set of clubs by Fisher-Price. Not only did I love using them to hit golf balls in my yard, but these plastic golf clubs also served as a fun toy to chase my twin brother around the backyard. As I grew and transitioned to real clubs, I knew that the game of golf was my in my blood. I play golf as often as I possibly can whether I am playing in competitions or games with friends. This game has introduced me to some life-long friends and incredible people. My goal is to play college golf and to play on the PGA tour.
I thrive playing golf competitively. I have played in the US Kids Spring Hartford CT Tour and the Hudson Valley, NY Tour since 2020. During the Spring 2022 US Kids Spring Hartford Tour, I came in second place in the overall points category for the boys age 12 division. I began participating in the summer Metropolitan PGA Jr Tour New York Section starting in 2018 at the age of 9, playing in their 9-hole competitions and moving to the 18-hole competitions as soon as I met the age requirement. Over the last few years, I have played in many international tournaments in Ireland. Competing every year in these golf competitions, drives me to remain focused on practicing and improving my game. I am very proud that as a current 8th grader, I was invited by the Yorktown High School golf coach to try out for the high school varsity golf team for the Spring 2023 season and I made the team. I was able to come top 15 in my section with an average 9 hole score of 2.29 over par.
Although golf is my passion, I participate in many other athletic activities since I really enjoy being outdoors and active such as hiking, swimming, and bike riding on trails. Every winter I play in my town’s basketball league. Additionally, my education is also very important to me. I have consistently made high honor roll all through middle school. I plan on continuing to make my education a priority as well when I enter high school.
