I've been playing golf for about 5 years now but I started taking it seriously about a 2 years ago (lessons and practicing). I am very interested in playing golf at the collegiate level after high school.
Academically, I am a good student. I have met all my high school graduation requirements except for one credit of English. Therefore, I am enrolled at the local college (concurrent enrollment). I completed Comp 1 (A) and College Algebra (C) in the fall semester. I am taking courses in English (Comp 2) and History (after 1865) this spring.
In addition to golf, I am also active in varsity basketball and other high school activities such as FFA. I am a good teammate in that I am very supportive, work hard and I try to mentor younger teammates. I exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the course.
I am pleased with the progress my game has made but I know I haven't reached my potential. I want to play for a college team that is competitive and for a coach that will help me continue to develop my skills and my understanding of the game itself. I also want to be at a college/university that has strong academics.
