My collegiate goal is to play golf for a highly competitive university with highly selective academic programs. I started playing golf when I was three years old and have played competitively since I was nine. I currently compete in 4 leagues (WJGA, IGA, AJGA, USGA) in two states (Washington and Idaho), playing an average of 2 tournaments per week throughout the spring and summer. I also compete for Mead Highschool where I contributed to my team's 1st place finishes in both the Greater Spokane League Conference Championship and the Washington State 3A Championship. One of my greatest strengths as an athlete is how far I hit the ball. My average carry distance is 327.9 yds and my average ball speed is 181.4. I am highly driven to succeed and relentlessly pursue excellence, but my love for people is something that sets me apart from other recruits. I am always encouraging my teammates and actively looking for ways to help them achieve their personal goals. My highschool coach describes me as the glue that keeps the camaraderie of our team together. I am a strong student with a 4.0 academic GPA and I'm also a nationally ranked speech and debate competitor, where I qualified to compete in six events at the National Championship this year. I have competed in almost every sport over the years, but have chosen to focus on golf in highschool because it is by far my favorite sport. I would love to compete for your school and bring value to your program.
