I've been playing Water Polo since I was 7 years old. Most of my early childhood was spent in and out of children’s hospitals due to an eosinophilic digestive disorder and diagnosis of a rare condition. I have a birth defect in my hips similar to Perthes disease. My hips do not have fully formed bone and I have more cartilage, which prevented me from doing any running sport like soccer or football. My doctor recommended swimming and Water Polo to help improve my range of motion. Since then I've fallen in love with the sport. I try to maintain a good balance between school and polo, and so far I've been able to do it pretty well. In the pool,I work hard and try to apply everything coaches say to drills, scrimmages, and games. At the end of the day, I just want to play Water Polo. I can play just about anywhere in the pool, I'll listen and apply any coaching I get, and I'll give 100% every day.
