My goals in college all revolve around compete. I aspire to not only play at a high level of hockey, but dominate at that level. I am a very hard worker, and I believe my compete level is contagious with my teammates. The compete doesn't end when I get off the ice though. In the classroom I use my tenacious attitude to my advantage, especially when the challenge ahead is large. Seeking out extra help, when I do not fully grasp the in class material or the on ice skill, I use every tool available to me to better myself. I understand what it takes to be successful and I am willing to put in the work to get there. In the classroom, on the ice, and around campus I want to help the school win. I feel my desire to compete in the classroom and on the ice makes me a great candidate for you and your program. Thank you very much!

- Wells has exceptional athleticism and skating ability reminding me of Quick. Technically he is very well developed and is clearly well coached by his current goalie coaches. His ability to explode laterally on East/ West plays is very powerful. He is an eager and active puck handler with a strong forehand clear. I did not see any puckhandling touches using the backhand. I think his butterfly has decent flare and his knee drive is very quick. I think he plays an aggressive depth to appropriately handle shots based on his current height. I did notice occasions where he looked off the puck to assess off puck threats. Wells uses an active stick to get involved with tight pucks. Generally speaking his rebound control seemed positive. The scramble and battle ability in chaos was strong.
