Personal Statement.
Hi,
I am Daniel Raskin and I am from Chicago, Illinois . First and foremost, education is an important factor that i take into account. I want to go to a college that will prepare me for success in life. In addition, I would really like to play college hockey because it would be an awesome experience, and it would better me as a hockey player and as a person . I believe that I will have a positive impact on the institution that I attend, both as a student and a player.
As a student, I have many strengths. I always make sure my assignments are completed on time. I work hard to get good grades and succeed as a student. I am certain that I will do the same in college.
As a person and player, I am someone who can be a leader on the team and I am someone who will pick the team up if everyone has their heads down. The game is not over until the clock hits zero, no matter the score. I always give it my all. I have great ice vision and I understand the game very well. I can make plays when needed and help win games. One of my strongest qualities is my skating ability. I am a very agile player and, as a defenseman, I think it is great to be able to do that. In addition, I am a very offensive minded defenseman and when I have the chance I skate it up and make something happen.
Finally, I will always give 200% on the ice no matter what. Off the ice, I am no different, I am always working to improve and giving it 200%. It could be in the gym or at home or if i'm shooting and stickhandling - I am always working hard to achieve my goals. Speaking of goals, my main goal is to attend a good college / university where I can prepare myself for adulthood and play hockey at the highest level possible.
Thank you.
Daniel Raskin
