Personal Statement
I began skating at the age of 3 and playing hockey at age 5. Ever since the first time I laced up the skates, I knew I wanted to be a hockey player. Although I also play Varsity football and JV baseball, nothing compares to hockey. I have always felt that playing multiple sports has made me a better athlete. That being said, playing hockey at the NCAA D1 level is my goal. As a 6’1” 195lb pound right shot defenseman, I have played hockey at the AAA level for several years. I have played for organizations like Belle Tire, Compuware & Victory Honda. I have been told that I am a smart 3-zone player with a good first pass and strong offensive ability. I enjoy playing on the power play and I am always looking to improve my overall game. I have 4.2 GPA with many Honors and AP classes. One accomplishment that I am especially proud of is the fact that I have never had a B in any class since the 5th grade. Someday, I hope to become an orthopedic surgeon or at least work in the medical field in some capacity. I believe that the key to being successful is hard work and consistency. If you work hard, be consistent, trust the process & have fun, good things will happen.
