Personal Statement
I look forward to continuing my path in hockey at the Jr level with the hope of landing at a college where I can continue my academics and my hockey career. I've enjoyed the journey so far and believe my life experiences have prepared me for success both on and off the ice. I've been able to live in many different states and cities because of my dad's career and each of those experiences has built relationships and the framework of who I am. Looking back its hard to imagine that I started playing hockey in Arkansas. I still recall my mite days traveling to Oklahoma and Kansas to play full ice hockey in the south. I still to this day keep in touch with my friend and teammate who moved on to MN as we both continued our hockey journeys. My family moved on from Arkansas to Pittsburgh PA where I further developed my game and developed more life long lessons. I learned about the hardships and battles that we face in life as I lost my mother to cancer when I was just about to turn 12 years old while we lived in PA. Shortly after her passing, we moved to MI where my dad and mom were from so we all could have more family support. I give a lot of credit on who I am to my parents as they raised me to have strong faith and to have strong passion towards whatever I go after. I believe that I will be successful and that I will meet my goals, but I also know the targets could change as life continues to move forward. I want to continue and play hockey at the college level. I strive to play D1 or D3 hockey. Ultimately, I know academics are going to be the foundation of my career no matter where hockey takes me. I look forward to the experiences ahead and I'm confident I have what it takes to fit your program.
