2021 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am Victoria, a sophomore from Michigan. I run cross country and track.
As both an athlete and student, I take my studies and sports seriously. I set goals for everything I do, and I am very driven. I have been running track and cross country from middle school. Starting then and continuing to this day, I show up to every practice with a good work ethic and motivation.
After my 8th grade year was finished, I ran all throughout the summer, prepping for my freshman year. I have since completed my freshman cross country season, taking 9th at D1 state, finishing the year with a 18:35 5K PR. I also completed my freshman year of track, running 2 new PRs at the D1 Wisconsin State Track and Field Meet. In the 1600m, I ran a 5:10, and the 3200m, I ran an 11:10. Sophomore season, I ran a PR of 18:05, and placed 5th at the Division 1 State Cross Country Finals.
My biggest aspiration is to run in college because I want to continue to do what I love most. I am looking for a highly selective academics program with a pre-law program. I am also looking for a highly competitive athletics program. To me, getting a good education in college takes first priority, and I have the grit and determination to be at that level.
