Hi.
I am Heikki Forder a 18 year old from Finland who goes to school in school called USPA which is United States Performance Academy and plays hockey in a team called Conneticut Roughriders which plays in EHL. I am a goalie who you can trust. When the game is really thigh and any team can win I am at my best. I started playing hockey when I was 8 which is pretty late, but after that couldn't live without it. This is my third year living alone in USA alone without my parents and it has thought me a lot. I have grown as a person but mostly as a player, which I am really grateful of. As aplayer I am really active talker on the ice and I want to lead the game from a Goalie perspective. My best ability is movement on the ice and positioning. I am a hard worker on ice and off the ice by being a good student in the classroom too.
My academic accomplishments are that I have gotten a read and writing diploma and being a highest honors student. I can speak 4 different languages and 3 of them fluently. In my free time I like to sing, I have been in a boys choir before I left to USA, of course family and friends are big part of my life too and their support means a lot to me. In my free time in Finland I practice and I coach youth goalies 3-4 times a week in different summer camps and as a goalie coach in different teams.
My dream is to play in a good college hockey team and play in Europe or even in NHL. I have gotten these dream a long time a go already and now I have seen what it takes to be the best by practicing with top NHL players in the NHL for an example: defender Miro Heiskanen and a goalie Juuse Saros. My short term goals are that I will have a consistent first junior year without any injuries and get noticed by different colleges and hopefully play in a good college level one day.
yours,
Heikki Forder
