Personal Statement

Thank you for reviewing my profile!  My name is Oscar Snodgrass.  I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.   Most of my friends call me “Ozzie”.

I have had the good fortune of playing this game all of my life.  Hockey has allowed me to play with many great players and I have traveled to many different cities.   I currently train with an awesome group of instructors at the MAP South Campus as well as coaches Joe Dziedzic and Lucas Kohls.

Prior to my senior year, I had the opportunity to play for Kenai River of the NAHL in their training camp.  I will once again play for the Blue Army U18 AAA team.  My expectation is to lead the team in both goals and assists.

My senior season, I am humbled to be named captain of a great group of guys for the city of Minneapolis.   My expectation is to have a great year statistically and try to become part of the '100 career points club' for Minneapolis public schools.  Our team goal (at any cost) is a return to the state tournament for Minneapolis Hockey and continue to build our great hockey culture right here in the city.

During the summer, I train, workout daily, and volunteer with our inner city youth hockey players in a variety of different hockey programs, teams and formats.   It is important to me for the city of Minneapolis to continue to grow the game at the youth level and earn the respect at the varsity level.

My long-term goal is to play junior level hockey at the highest level I can and compete with the best players from around the world and someday earn a collegiate roster spot to continue both my education and play the game I love.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
