Gavin Nau '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gavin Nau, and I am a 2007 birth year center. I have always had a passion for the game of hockey, and it is the sport that I would like to continue playing in college.  As an upcoming Junior, I am currently a team captain on my High School team and last year I was the points leader for my team.  My father played college hockey and coached me for a number of years and has always pushed me to be the best that I can be and taught me the game that I love.  My younger brother also plays hockey, and I come from a family that has produced numerous college hockey players and youth hockey coaches.  I have always also been known as a hard worker, taking nothing for granted and always pushing myself to do better.  I am self-motivated and have learned to compete with myself. My competitive nature drives me to push myself past limits that would prevent me from achieving my goals. I take coaching direction, and I am a great teammate. I push my teammates to be the best they can be and lead by example.   I am looking to ultimately join a college hockey team where I can contribute as a leader on and off the ice, and as an athlete and a student.
