My name is Preston Diederich. I am a junior at Grand Forks Central High School, preparing for junior hockey after high school. I am a 2006 goaltender and have played varsity hockey, Tier 1 AAA, and Bantam AA.

Grand Forks Central High School

  • 21.2 Games, 5 SO, 1.56 GAA, 92.9 Save %

  • Conference Championships: 5 starts, 6.86 games, 1.31 GAA, 95.0 Save %

Team ND Tier 1 - 16U

  • Year 1 - 4.93 GAA,  86.8 Save %, Year 2 - 3.031 GAA, 91.5 Save %.

  • Highlight - 2-1 OT (30 of 31 saves) win over Sioux Falls Power to advance to the 2023 USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championships in San Jose, CA.

Youth Hockey

  • ND Bantam AA State Champions with a 1.0 GAA, 96.4% in the state tournament.

  • Advanced to state championship game each year of youth hockey, with youth hockey tournament wins each year.

  • Multiple spring/summer teams each year. Highlight was winning the Big One on a team coached by Matt Cullen during the summer of 2020. I was game MVP during the semifinal game and stopped all but 2 shots on championship Sunday, earning tournament MVP.

  • This was my second season on the Team ND Tier 1. The highlight was a 2-1 OT win over the Sioux Falls Power to earn a spot in the USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championships in San Jose.
  • 2021 Grand Forks Aviators (Bantam AA)
  • Grand Forks Aviators were the 2020-2021 ND State Champions. I played the semi-final and championship games of the state tournament. Finished with a 1.62 GAA and 93.23 save percentage. This season provided the opportunity to place against the best teams in MN and ND. These included Moorhead, Minnetonka, Roseau, Oseo Maple Grove, Wayzata, and more.
  • 2021 Team ND 16u (16U AAA Tier 1)
  • This team is a collection of players from around ND that compete in about 20-24 games a year. I was moved up from 15O to 16U for this team.
