Most of us never start out where we want to be. One of the most important things I’ve learned during my first two and half years of high school is that the recipe for success is virtually the same regardless of the circumstances or what the challenge might be. If a person is willing to work hard and be dedicated they will almost certainly get better and see improvement. That initial improvement creates increased confidence. When that newfound confidence is combined with more continued hard work and dedication, it results in even greater growth and success over & over again. Here is how I am applying the recipe to my life.
ACADEMICS: I definitely did not start out where I want to finish in high school. But I’m achieving success by working the process extremely hard and seeing the results in my education as I’ve included above. I plan to keep my upward momentum going through high school and be one of those team members that have a positive impact on my college team’s GPA.
STRENGTH: The strength I have gained from my dedication to weightlifting has helped me add muscle to my frame and put on positive weight. The self-confidence I’ve gained personally and the and increased power I have athletically have dramatically impacted the confidence and offensive aggressiveness I play with today.
SPEED & AGILITY: The improvement in speed, agility, & explosiveness I’ve added through individual performance training has changed my game. At 6’2” 185 lbs. I’m no longer just a big lefty attackman. I’m a big, fast, explosive, quick change of direction, hard shooting lefty attackman.
