I am currently a junior at the Pomfret School in Connecticut. My GPA is 3.67 with 2 advanced and 2 honors classes. I am taking a Kaplan SAT class and am scheduled to take the May 2018 SAT. Below is a link containing lax highlights from a November 2017 fall showcase and summer 2016 before my first year at Pomfret.
I am a 2-way midfielder interested in playing lacrosse at the Division III level. Upon completing 10th grade as a high honor roll student at Clinton High School (upstate NY), I applied and was accepted to Pomfret School in CT. I repeated 10th grade at Pomfret. I arrived 2 weeks early for pre-season football and never looked back. During the 2nd week of November 2016 I tore my right ACL during a punt return in a game. For the first time since the age of 5 I was unable to play both hockey and lacrosse.
The ACL in my right knee was surgically repaired on December 9, 2016, so I did not have the mobility to help our hockey team. As for lacrosse, I spent my sophomore lacrosse season attending every practice and game. I warmed up our keepers, carried equipment and videotaped when necessary. I worked hard to be “an asset, not a liability” as my father always preached to us. That summer after I chose not to play club lax in order to double-down on my knee rehab with the help of a trainer.
During the fall of 2017, I returned to Pomfret football (DB, RB & K) as a captain. We went on to be the undefeated champions of the New England School 8-Man Football League. This winter I am playing box in Glastonbury, CT and cannot wait to get back on the lax field and go hard.
My brother is a junior on the Bowdoin Men’s Lacrosse team. I have a good sense of the recruiting process and fully understand what I am up against having missed my sophomore season.
