In 2020, I played for a team that qualified for the World Series of Youth Lacrosse but due to COVID-19, it was cancelled. In 2021, I was fortunate enough to qualify again for the World Series of Youth Lacrosse. Participating in the qualifying tournaments and competing in the World Series of Youth Lacrosse against the best lacrosse players in the country was a transformational moment in my lacrosse journey. Although I had been playing lacrosse in addition to football, track and baseball since I was seven, this event ignited a spark and passion for the sport and to compete with the best. Although we fell just short of the championship, it more importantly taught me the resiliency and grit needed to compete against some of the top competitors at my age, driving me to want to get stronger and smarter both physically and mentally.
As I begin my high school journey, I continue to be focused on my growth both on the field and inside the classroom. Lacrosse has taught me self-discipline, sacrifice, teamwork and commitment and the importance of going the extra mile and putting in as much effort as I expect from my teammates. I have also transferred my on-field determination to the classroom and my studies. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both academically and athletically, where I can continue to be challenged and make a difference both on and off the field.
