Steele Smithson '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Steele Smithson and I am from Milton, GA. I will graduate in 2025 from Milton High School. My primary position is Midfielder.

To tell you more about myself, I am 5’10 and I weigh about 160 pounds. I have been playing lacrosse since I was 10 years old. I made the Varsity Lacrosse Team as a Freshman and starter at a 7A high school. I had a total of 48 total points (25 goals and 23 assists) while missing 5 games due to injury. I received my varsity letter last season as a Freshman and was identified as a team leader in my first season. Not only am I starter for my high school team, I also play Travel/Club Lacrosse with 3D Georgia and Shred Thread. I have consistently made the Elite Teams and National Teams. In my Fall tournament with Shred Thread, I was the top scorer with 15 goals and 15 assists in the tournament. My team went undefeated and won the Championship in Charleston, SC.

I work very hard during the season.  I practice on my days off and I am always working to improve my stick skills, shooting skills and agilities. Most recently I was clocked at shooting consistently and accurately at 91mph.  I am also consistently one of the fastest players on the team(s). This allows me the ability to quickly get the ball down field, create fast breaks and set up plays or score prior to the opponent getting set up.  Another advantage is my ability to shoot from long distances and with my off hand.

I also give back to the community by coaching our local feeder lacrosse programs. I enjoy sharing my passion for lacrosse and helping other athletes develop their skills for the game. 

I aspire to play at the collegiate level. I would like to attend a college/university where I can push myself to be the best I can while also being a contributor to the team. My dream is to play college and then pro lacrosse. I wish to major in Business and start my own Real Estate Agency. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college/university match.
