Austin Mercier '21 Recruiting Profile

I consider myself a very coachable and well liked individual, as well as a strong team player who thrives in team environments. I'm a strong left-handed shot, and have good dexterity with both hands. I look for every opportunity to learn and get better, and take all criticism in stride. Academically, I have faced obstacles and challenges, but I feel like I have dealt with them with maturity and professionalism, and will continue to do so in the future. I am a multisport athlete who plays defense in hockey and attack in lacrosse, both at the varsity level. I was looking to play on club teams in the summer, but unfortunately didn't have an opportunity to, due to the lack of availability in my location. I have also attended multiple summer camps at University of St. Thomas, where I worked with college players from the D1-D3 level.
