When I started playing lacrosse my coaches asked if anyone wanted to take faceoffs, since nobody else was interested in the position I decided to step up. I went out to the faceoff X not knowing what I was doing but fell in love with the position. My coach was a FOGO while in college so I asked him if he could teach me how to win at the X. I have attended several faceoff specific clinics and learned from some of the best faceoff men in the sport (Eck, Godfrey and Shomberg to name a few).
In November 2011 while competing at the National Faceoff Tournament in Edgewater, Maryland I used what I was taught and placed forth overall. In January 2013 I was invited to attend the National Faceoff Combine in Boston, Massachusetts where I competed at a high level. I didn't win my bracket but what I learned that weekend allowed me to excel during my spring season.
This past high school season I had the opportunity to work on my offensive and defensive IQ which enabled me to become a complete midfielder that faces off and can also play offense and defensive.
One goal is to attend college and earn a degree as an Athletic Trainer, or a Physical Education Teacher so I could continue to be around the sport and give back to the game that I love playing.
After college I would love to play Lacrosse in the MLL. I would also like to be able to settle down in an area that allows lacrosse to be played year round to enable me the chance to become a good father who has time to spend with his children teaching them lacrosse.
