Thor Jackson '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade and joined the Madlax Oregon 2023AA Travel Team in 7th grade. I made the HS Varsity team my Freshman and Sophomore years. Freshman year was cut short due to COVID-19, but I was named 1st Team All Conference FOGO my Sophomore Season. I competed in the 2021 Face Off Factory Summit in Berwyn, PA and was named Player Who Impressed by Peace Lacrosse Blog. I have a fast clamp, but I also have a strong counter game. I'm very physical and love to force turnovers and ground ball wins. I also pride myself on my man-on-man defense. In addition to lacrosse, I've played select basketball since my 5th grade year and made the JV HS team my Freshman year. Sports like lacrosse and basketball have always been an important part of my life and have taught me leadership, teamwork and dedication. Central Catholic is a college prep school and I've continued to grow academically there. I excel at Math, Science and History and I'm currently in AP Psych and really enjoy the topic. I volunteer at my school's monthly food drive by preparing lunches for families in need and I also volunteer at ROSE CDC, and affordable housing organization in SE Portland by assisting with their community gardens and youth programs.
