Personal Statement
Thank you for visiting my NCSA page.
The first day I ever played lacrosse was one of the best days of my life. I was in first grade and have played ever since. Lacrosse has inspired me to work hard, both on the field and in the classroom. I also referee lacrosse as a way of giving back to the game, and to increase my understanding of lacrosse from a different perspective.
I am currently a Freshman at Frostburg State University in Maryland but opted not to participate in lacrosse this season to preserve my athletic eligibility.
Previously I attended Westview High School, the third largest high school in Oregon (enrollment: 2600) and was a multisport athlete playing soccer and basketball. I played Varsity lacrosse my freshman year, was a starter Sophomore year and was a Captain my Junior year - the first time a Junior has been named a captain in the program's 17 year history. I was named 1st Team All-Metro at Midfield in 2018 - the first middie from my high school to make 1st Team in 10 years. I also was selected to play in the Nike OHSLA All Star game. As a Senior Middie I was the top scorer in Oregon with 76 goals and third in points with 103. I was named 2nd Team All-State, First Team All-Metro, Captain, and played in the 2019 OHLSA All-Star Game. I am mentally and physically tough and very athletic. My coaches will tell you I am hard-working, positive, coachable, a good team member and I have a high lacrosse IQ. I give 110% every day, constantly working to be the best I can be and to help my teammates be successful.
My ideal college experience would be one where I could play at the highest level possible while still focusing on getting a degree in Wildlife Biology/Natural Resources. I love the outdoors and want a career in fisheries. I am open to all types of colleges but want to study and play in the Western states
I constantly have a smile on my face because I love the game and always have a good time when I’m playing lacrosse. I believe that I could be an essential and positive asset to your program should you choose me to play for you.
Thank you for considering me,
Connor
